This is a 24/7 live operating call service that will act as a staff directory. This number will provide emergency directives from the CEO as well as allow callers to leave a detailed message in the event of an emergency.

Emergency Evacuation Protocols

In the event of an emergency, which requires evacuation of the residence and alternate living accommodations, staff will ensure the safety of the individuals residing in the residence and assist in the transfer of the individuals. Any movement of the Individuals to a temporary shelter will be coordinated with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).

If evacuation is required from the facility:

• Staff reviews individual Levels of Prompting to evacuate residence.

• Immediate emergency shelter placement with ACP BK, I LLC located at 630 Flushing Avenue. The location operates 24/7 and will be able to accommodate all site individuals and staff during an evacuation emergency.

• CFO will ensure allocated funds are secure at the emergency meeting site; 630 Flushing Avenue, to provide alternate means of shelter, i.e., Hotel, Airbnb, etc.

• All individuals will be provided with an ADL kit which includes a toothbrush kit, First Aid Kit, medication list, toiletries kit, a change of clothes, and a pair of shoes.

The CEO will determine if the Individuals should remain in the residence or evacuate.

  • Residences.are equipped with battery-operated flashlights, Fire alarm system operates on a 48 hour battery operating system, residence equipped with nonperishable emergency food supplies for two weeks, and battery-operated Lanterns for resident lighting. The residence is equipped with seasonal wardrobe attire and seasonal supplies such as insulated blankets, outerwear etc.

  • Residents will be required to leave the facility due to floods and be redirected to the emergency meeting site at 630 Flushing Avenue.

  • Residents will be required to leave the facility due to Gas Leak or Fire and redirect to the emergency meeting site at 630 Flushing Avenue.

  • A person actively engaging in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area.

    Evacuate (Run)
    If there is an accessible escape path, attempt to evacuate the individuals from the premises.

    Shelter-In-Place (Hide)
    If evacuation is not possible, staff and individuals should find a place to hide where the active shooter is less likely to find them. Your hiding place should:

    • Be out of the active shooter's view.
    • Provide Protection if shots are fired in your direction.
    • Do not trap yourself or anyone or restrict options for movement.
