Job Description:
The Licensed Clinical Director oversees clinical team and the clinical services for residential programs, advancing person-centered care, behavioral health initiatives, and regulatory compliance to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful outcomes. Services are delivered in compliance with the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), and federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and plays an essential role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through person-centered clinical services.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
Must possess one of the following licenses:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Psychologist
Psychiatrist
Knowledge of services for individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
3-Years of experience in residential care, intake screening, behavioral support planning, and quality assurance practices.
Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize and maintain documentation in the program data system Precision Care.
Conduct weekly rotating visits to each residence to provide clinical support, crisis intervention, advocacy, and behavioral health assessment.
Assist in the development, reassessment, and implementation of staff orientation and ongoing clinical training.
Serve as Signatory Chairperson of the Human Rights Committee (HRC) and review agency documentation.
Conduct interviews and psychological assessments related to OPWDD and Justice Center reportable incidents.
Assist in the investigation of reportable incidents and minor notable occurrences.
Participate in and facilitate Incident Review Committee (IRC) meetings.
Develop and assist in implementing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and Plans of Corrective Action (POCAs).
Report IRC actions and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
Assist in the development, assessment, and evaluation of Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs) and related clinical interventions.
Facilitate individual counseling sessions and group therapy based on person-centered needs.
Facilitate quarterly self-advocacy groups for individuals receiving services.
Provide family and caregiver support, including counseling and education to promote emotional, social, and behavioral well-being.
Maintain accurate and timely case notes for all sessions.
Participate in clinical research initiatives to improve service delivery and outcomes.
Support organizational social, emotional, and community engagement events for individuals served.
Serve as Clinical Intake Program Vacancy Coordinator, assisting with referral reviews, interviews, placement meetings, and intake processes.
Assist with the transition and placement of individuals into residential programs, ensuring appropriate placement based on needs and preferences.
Conduct Employee Assistance Program (EAP) assessments and referrals.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
